Dolls
First Season
|
Jem/Jerrica
first issue: $30-40
with star earrings: $35-45
Highest E-bay price: $52
|
The very first Jem doll. The
design of the doll allowed it to be both Jem and Jerrica by a
simple tuck of hair and a pair of sunglasses. She comes
dressed as Jem with her signature pink dress
and belt with fringe, sparkling iridescent tights, metallic pink
shoes, microphone, and bracelet. Added
is a blue and white striped dress and matching hat, powder
blue shoes, and sunglasses. The belt is reversible and her
earrings flash. No audio tape was included. |
|
Kimber of the Holograms
first issue: $40-50
lighter makeup: ??
Highest E-bay price: $50
|
Jerrica's sister and lyricist/keyboardist.
Her violent red hair is cut in an angle, and wears a white
jacket with blue lapels and pink ruffles to stimulate a blouse,
blue pants, white socks, and pink shoes.
Her keyboard is wearable, but there is an "M" on top which leads
to the original story worked on. An
audio tape was included that featured "The Jem Theme",
"Only The Beginning", and "Twilight In Paris". |
|
Aja of the Holograms
first issue: $45-60
Highest E-bay price: $55
|
Asian guitarist and reigning tomboy.
Her electric blue hair is cut in three layers. She wears
a purple blouse with matching sequined belt, "snake
print" skirt, multicolored tights, and lavender shoes. She
has an electric blue guitar in the shape of a star. IMHO, she
has the most wicked face paint of them all.
She comes with an audio tape featuring "The Jem Theme", "Like
A Dream", and "She's Got The Power". |
Shana of the Holograms
first issue: $125-175
do not know if that's with "widow's peak" or
not |
African-American bass guitarist and
costume designer. In the show, she originally played the drums,
but the doll came with a hot pink guitar. Her curly lavender
hair comes in two styles: with a point
in the middle of her hairline or not. She's dressed in a
shiny lavender dress with a silver jacket and lavender shoes.
She comes with an audio tape that includes "The Jem Theme", "Getting
Down To Business", and "Too Close (For Comfort)". She is
one of the rare dolls, and MIB can go for
$250! |
|
Rio: Jerrica's Boyfriend
first issue: 25-35
pale skin: ??
Highest E-bay price: $25
|
Not the only male character of the
story, but the only male doll made in the whole series.
He is slightly taller than the females. The dark purple
hair can come in two styles: half-bangs or whole bangs.
He comes with a yellow shirt with an 80's like print, purple pinstriped
blazer, purple pants and sneakers. He also has a briefcase
and an audio tape that included "The Jem Theme", "Deception",
and "I've Got My Eye On You". |
|
Pizzazz of the Misfits
first issue: $50-65
|
Lead singer and guitarist of the Misfits.
Wildchild and spoiled brat, she has the face paint that makes
her look like a demon. One of the rumored decline of sales
was her and her friends evil-looking makeup.
She comes with a dress with the skirt and collar in "zebra stripes",
two florescent green bandanas (one as a belt the other on the
leg), "spiked" bracelets, one florescent green
knee sock, and green shoes. Her hair is wickedly spiked
and colored the same florescent green as her clothes and comes
with a guitar. She has an audio tape that includes "The
Jem Theme", "Outta My Way", and "Making Mischief". |
Roxy of the Misfits
first issue: $50-65 |
Guitarist of the Misfits. She's
a punk through and through, but she never graduated and can't
read. A tough woman that cares about success more than the
other band members. She's another doll
with the most wicked makeup ever, IMHO. Her hair is white,
and she wears a fringed purple blouse with one sleeve, multicolored
metallic pants, a yellow belt, and purple shoes. She
comes with a purple guitar and "spiked" bracelets.
She comes with an audio tape that includes "The
Jem Theme", "Click/Clash", and "Taking It All". |
|
Stormer of the Misfits
first issue: $50-65
Highest E-bay price: $60
|
The quiet lyricist and guitar player
of the Misfits. In the show, she plays a keyboard but the
doll carries a left-handed guitar.
No explanation was ever given for this change. She has tightly
curled dark blue hair with a flower tucked
in, a sleeveless top with a collar of "zebra" skin, a black skirt,
black fishnet stockings, yellow shoes and "spiked"
bracelets. She comes with an audio tape that includes
"The Jem Theme", "Winning Is Everything", and "Music Is Magic". |
Second Season
|
Rock and Curl Jem
$20-30
Highest E-bay price: $30
|
A trial run at a cheaper version of
Jem. Second complaint of parents was that the dolls
were rather expensive compared to Barbie.
She has a new face mold that now has her smiling
instead of her rather serious composure of the first Jem doll.
Her blonde and pink hair was now longer and
curled, with no chance of rolling up the pink half to turn
her into Jerrica. She came with one outfit,
a purple dress with pink bows and a silver skirt,
pink sparkling tights and pink shoes. She came with a microphone,
two bracelets, and two hair bows, but no
tape and no flashing earrings. |
|
Flash and Sizzle Jem/Jerrica
$30-40
Highest E-bay price: $40
|
The first Jem doll that came with
an Audio tape. She had the new face and retained her
flashing earrings, but the earrings were now star
shaped. She came in a pink dress with a
blue and silver jagged skirt, sparkling light blue tights, and
yellow shoes. She came with a Jerrica
outfit that was a pull over yellow with red "paint" splashes dress
with an attached hood to hide her pink hair
and sunglasses. The tape included "The Jem Theme", "Time
Is Running Out", and "Set Your Sails". |
|
Kimber of the Holograms
$75-90
Highest E-bay price: $100
|
Kimber is still pretty much the same
except for a few changes. Her outfit are now of different colors
(jacket is purple with the "blouse" white, green pants) and she
now wears earrings and a bandana.
Her keyboard now "glitters" and is slightly translucent.
Her tape comes with "The Jem Theme", "Can't
Get My Love Together", and "Love's Not Easy". |
|
Aja of the Holograms
$90-125
Highest E-bay price: $103
|
Aja has also stayed the same with
a few color changes in her wardrobe (brighter purple blouse with
green belt, black skirt with multicolored dots, yellow tights,
and pink shoes) and she now wears earrings
and bandana. Her guitar also "sparkles". Her tape
includes "The Jem Theme", "Something Is Missing
(In My Life)", "Share A Little Bit". |
|
Shana of the Holograms
$225-275
Highest E-bay price: $207
|
Shana's wardrobe changed a little
more than the others. She now wears a green busier and hot
pink pants with a dark blue jacket. She now
wears earrings and a bandana. I believe they have
made her with the dart in the hair exclusively.
Her guitar also "sparkles". Her tape includes "The
Jem Theme", "Broadway Magic", and "It All Depends On The Mood
(I'm In)". |
Raya of the Holograms
$150-175 |
The newest member of the Holograms.
A Hispanic woman now plays the drums, as was explained
in the show to take care of the doll discrepancy. She has
wavy rose-colored hair, a flower print
blouse with a blue tie, a purple vest, a blue skirt with an oversized
yellow belt, flower printed tights and yellow
shoes. She wears earrings, and her stand holds up her two
drum pads. She comes with an audio tape that
includes "The Jem Theme", "Love Unites Us", and
"There's A Melody Playing". |
|
Video of the Holograms
$25-35
Highest E-bay price: $49
|
First of the friends of the Holograms,
Video is the producers of Jem's music videos. She has
yellow hair (dispute this all you want, but of all
the adult dolls she's the only one with a normal hair color.
Jerrica doesn't count because of her pink hair). She wears
a purple blazer with her initial on a lapel,
yellow pants with silver stripes, a silver belt, and pink shoes.
She also comes with a "video camera" and
a tape that includes "The Jem Theme", "Come On In (The Water's
Fine)" and "She Makes An Impression". |
|
Danse of the Holograms
$45-60
Highest E-bay price: $41
|
A friend of the Holograms, she is
a dancer and choreographer for Jem's music videos and concerts.
She comes with multicolored hair, an orange top
with a blue fringed jacket, gold sash, sparkling purple
pants and orange shoes. She comes with a "boom box" and
a tape that includes "The Jem Theme", "Running
Like The Wind", and "When It's Only Me (And The Music)". |
Synergy
$45-60 |
This doll is rare and amazing.
They made a doll of the holographic image of Jerrica's computer, Synergy.
She was rather hard to find, I only saw the one when I bought
her and only a few after that. The
amazing part about her is that her skin is really lavender, just
like the image off the show. They did give
her human eyes instead of the vacant ones on the show. Her
hair is wavy and dark purple with metallic
strips of hair tucked in. She wears a leotard that's very
similar to her on-screen dress, with sparkling
socks and purple ankle boots. She carries a compact computer
that has a keyboard and screen, simulating the original computer
she images from. She comes with an audio
tape that includes "The Jem Theme", "Friend Or Stranger", and
"We Can Change It". |
|
Glitter and Gold Jem/Jerrica
$60-75
Highest E-bay price: $50
|
Was going to be the first themed doll
for the season. Beautiful doll that can cross her legs and her
arms. She was up for a DOTY award by Doll Reader, but was
beaten by a jeweled Barbie (of course).
Jem's hair is shot with metallic strips of gold, and her makeup
is also golden. Her outfit comes with
a white leotard with no sleeves and a gold flower pattern, a gold
wrap around skirt with a bow, a wrap
made of white "fur" and gold edging, white and gold tights, and
gold shoes. Her Jerrica dress uses the same
leotard, uses a white skirt, a gold bow to hide her pink hair
and white shoes. Her tape contains
"The Glitter and Gold Theme Song", "(It All) Depends On The Mood
I'm In", and "Love Is Here". |
Glitter and Gold Rio
$25-35
pale skin: $125-150 |
And Jem needs a date for her premiere,
and he sports a new gold and white tuxedo to match Jem's
outfit. But can never understand why he wore
white sneakers, of all things classy. He also comes
with a white rose to present her. His tape
includes "The Glitter and Gold Theme Song", "People Who
Care", and "Putting It All Together". |
|
Pizzazz of the Misfits
$55-75
Highest E-bay price: $57
|
This was disappointing. There
is nothing new to her doll, including her tape. |
Roxy of the Misfits
$50-65 |
Again, nothing was changed. |
Stormer of the Misfits
$50-65 |
Again, nothing was changed. |
Jetta of the Misfits
$40-55 |
The newest addition to the Misfits.
Whatever Jem does, Pizzazz must do the same thing. And she
finds a British saxophone player to add to
her band. Talk about your misfits. She has jet black
hair that is shot with silver, a white lightening
bolt across her face, a black sleeveless top with a silver and
fringed triangular collar, black and white striped pants, and
black shoes. She comes with a black saxophone, and
her tape includes "The Jem Theme", "Who Is She Anyway?"
and "Designing Women (sic, should be Designing
Woman)". |
|
Clash of the Misfits
$25-35
Highest E-bay price: $34
|
A Misfit that will never be called
a Misfit. Clash is the brat that wants her idol, Pizzazz,
to win over Jem and will stop at nothing to do it. She has
purple and blue shot hair that has a tail on one side, a
green dress with a green belt, a "fur" florescent
green jacket, hot pink tights and shoes. She carries a
headphone set and a "frequency jammer" to ruin Jem's
concerts. Her tape includes "The Jem Theme", "I
Am A Giant", and "You Oughta See The View From Here". |
|
Ashley of the Starlight Girls
$40-55
Highest E-bay price: $41
|
A doll that the girl could relate
to. Three of the Starlight Girls were created as an attempt
to get the attention of those that complained that the adult dolls
couldn't wear the Barbie clothes. There wasn't anything
spectacular about them, so much that other collectors don't bother
to add them to their collections. Ashley came with a white
blouse, rose printed black pants, socks and jelly shoes. |
|
Bah Nee of the Starlight Girls
$25-40
Highest E-bay price: $16
|
Bah Nee is an orphan from the Vietnam
War, and is the only character that had her story arch finished.
She came with a flower print top and shorts, a belt and jelly
shoes. |
|
Krissy of the Starlight Girls
$35-65
Highest E-bay price: $35
|
Krissy is an African-America doll
that was a shy and quiet one. She came with an oversized
orange shirt with a pattern on it, yellow stretch pants, and jelly
shoes. |
Jem Fashions
(There is a slight variation on how I describe these
outfits. I'm taking this from my own collection [Which was first bought
when I was about 10!] and a lot of them are rather scattered about
at the moment. Once I buy them in package or get to my packaged outfits
can I provide a better description.)

includes a red shirt with white panels and black splashes, red
pants, and black shoes. |
On The Road With Jem

Reissue of the previously released outfit. |

It All Depends On The Mood
$15.00
Highest E-bay price: $15
|
I've seen this one a few times, and I'm not really
thrilled over it (I can't imagine someone not performing onstage
wearing this one). This included a yellow jumpsuit with
a white center that has triangle splashes, a purple belt with
a green triangle buckle, and purple shoes. |
Share A Little Bit
$125.00 |
This outfit is nicer. Includes a shirt with
purple and blue stripes, purple pants with suspenders, and white
shoes. |
|
Time Is Running Out
$25.00
Highest E-bay price: $45
|
This has to be his beachwear, but I still don't
see many men wearing this combination. Includes a yellow
muscle shirt, blue netting overtop, hawaiian print shorts, pink
visor, and yellow shoes. |
Congratulations
$30.00 |
This one is nice. Includes an electric blue
muscle shirt, gold jacket with green lapels, white pants, and
dark blue shoes. |
It Takes Alot
$25.00 |
This outfit definitely appeared differently on the
show. This one consisted of a jacket with "snake"
print in silver and a bright orange colar, silver pants, and orange
shoes. |
Rappin'
$45.00 |
Reissue of a previously released outfit. |
Truly Outrageous
$150.00 |

Jem's Accessories
|
Jem Star Stage
$30-45.00
|
"Jem's got a cassette player that turns into the Jem
Star Stage!
Jem puts on the ultimate concert, right on the Jem Star Stage!
It can turn into Starlight Music, where Jerrica spends her days!"
Duality strikes again as the "henshin" theme is played
out to her accessories. The Star Stage starts out a "boom
box" with a strap (or also a keyboard) where you can slide
in a tape to play. It has a speaker (which was pretty
good for its size) or you can plug it in to the Rock Backstager.
Open the animal-print top and set it up for the Star Stage
mode. The floor is a trap door to store all your stage
gear. Take the "wallpaper" and clip it on the
walls with the spotlights and you have Jerrica's new wave office.
List of parts coming soon...

Jem Rock Backstager
$25-35.00 |

|
Jem Rockin' Roadster
$65-90.00
Highest E-bay price: $36
|
|
KJEM
$25-40.00 |
"KJEM, KJEM, has music to share,
KJEM, KJEM, sending out good vibes over the air."
Jem now owns her own radio station (wonder if they only play
music stamped by Starlight?) Outside is an "air"
guitar (meaning not a working guitar) with a plug in microphone.
Take the neck off and open the body up, and you have the
radio station (the neck becomes the radio tower). There
are turntables, a live broadcast booth, and the mike fits onto
the "tower" so that you can pretend to be Jem's DJ.
List of parts coming soon....

Jem New Wave Water Bed
$35-50.00 |
Now going into the furniture department.... Jem's waterbed
is real, you can fill up the mattress. A quick change
and you have Jem's keyboard that really plays.
List of parts coming soon....

Jem Glitter 'n' Gold Rockin' Roadster
$150-250.00 |
Same as the original Rockin' Roadster, but in a
more Glitter 'n' Gold motif. According to one source, a Hasbro
representative said that this was a limited edition and wouldn't
be as widely spread out as the other car. Might be why it's so
hard to find one MIB. |
